Tour the largest Australasian Little Penguin colony on mainland New Zealand. Evening Penguins Tour - You are guaranteed to see penguins in their natural habitat during the breeding season from September to mid February and second week in April. Come along to learn interesting facts and help preserve these birds. The tour will drive you to the Bay on the other side of Akaroa - breathtaking views along the way. Then you get to feed sheep and see small penguins nesting as well as penguins socialising on the water.
