Historic South Street

Description
South Street (previously known as 'Town Acre 456') is the oldest preserved street in New Zealand that people actually live in. Cottages dating from 1863 line the street, which were originally built as homes for local tradesmen. Whilst the interior of the cottages are allowed to be modernised, any external restoration has to be in-keeping with the character of the street.
