This is a basic six-bunk hut located in Lake Sumner Forest Park in the North Canterbury and Arthur's Pass area. There are no fees. Bookings not required - first come, first served. Facilities include mattresses, non-flush toilets and water from a stream. Access across pastoral lease land. You need to get permission from Glenhope Station for access phone +64 3 315 7697. As there have been issues with poaching on Glenhope Station, the station owners no longer provide access for hunters across their land. No dogs allowed.
