Located in the Hunua Ranges Regional Park, Hunua Upper Mangatawhiri SCC parking area is suitable for CERTIFIED SELF-CONTAINED VEHICLES ONLY. Max vehicles - 2 Maximum stay 3 nights. You must take all rubbish home with you. There are no bins or disposal facilities here. Drive through Hunua Village, continue for 8km and turn left onto Moumoukai Road. Continue past Wairoa Dam. The gravel road is steep and winding for 6km, making caravan access difficult. You must have a current NZC5465: Self-Containment certificate that is issued by an authorised person from Ministry for the Environment. You may not camp in You may not containers, tents and all vehicles/units, campervans, caravans and 5th wheelers WITHOUT a SCC.
