This is a basic five-bunk hut located in Remutaka Forest Park in the Wairarapa region. There are no fees. Bookings not required - first come, first served.
Facilities include open fire heating, mattresses, non-flush toilets and water from a stream.
Wharepapa hut is part of the Papatahi Crossing, which can be started from Catchpool Valley or the Western Lake road.
