Description
Approved campsite for Te Araroa trail hikers.
There is a shelter (Moturimu Whare). The whare provides sleeping space for about eight people. It has a clean water stream nearby, a toilet, a picnic table, rubbish bin and a concrete platform for gas cookers. No fires are permitted.
This is the only place where camping is permitted in Gordon Kear Forest.
