Description

Te Haruhi Bay is an all modes campground behind the sand dunes at the very eastern end of Te Haruhi Bay. There is a maximum stay of 7 nights. Facilities include flush toilets and two cold outside showers at the front of the toilet block. Campers can bring their own solar shower, shower tent and solar shower support. Showers must not be hung from trees. There are a number of potable water (bore supply) taps located around the camp ground and large recycling and general rubbish containers, and a worm bin. Fires prohibited at all times. The site is accessible to tents, purpose built vans, campermatics, caravans, 5th Wheelers, campervans and buses of all lengths. No Self-Containment certificate required. Animals (except aid dogs) are prohibited at all times. Access - From the park entrance follow the signs to Te Haruhi Bay, and then to the campground. There is a locked access gate with combination required. The campground is approximately 250 meters along the access road.
