This is a standard 16-bunk hut in Tararua Forest Park, in the Wellington/Kapiti region. Fees apply. Bookings not required - first come, first served. Facilities include heating, mattresses, non-flush toilets and water (not treated - boil before use). Tarn Ridge Hut is located below Girdlestone (1546 m). It's an important overnight shelter on the Northern Crossing.
