Description

The Riverbank is in a quiet lane on one hectare of land with bush on one side and a wetland on the other. Although near to Ngunguru and only 10 minutes from Tutukaka we are definitely in a rural situation but right on the Twin Coast Discovery Route. Camping available for koha (Mori term for a gift/donation) for Te Araroa hikers especially. The site is most suitable to backpacker / car / cyclist camping. You camp on a grassy patch in the garden. There is a boardwalk from the garden to a DOC bush reserve for short nature walks. Facilities include water and a long drop in the bush as well as a sink bench to place cookers on.
