Mita Bay Campground (Walk-in)

Description
This grassed campground is located by the calm waters of Mita Bay and surrounded by regenerating native bush. There is no vehicle access - you will need to walk along Mita Bay Track, and around rocks two hours either side of low tide. You may stay in tents only and you may not camp on the foreshore. Maximum stay 7 nights. You must book in advance.
Park on the western side of the Sullivan's Bay carpark. From carpark, walk up and over the hill along the Mita Bay Loop Track for approximately 1km (45 to 60 minutes).
Then walk around the rocks two hours each side of low tide. This stage is approximately 800m and will take up to 30 minutes.
Facilities include toilets, rubbish bins and drinking (potable) bore water from taps along the campground beachfront - boil water for at least three minutes before using. Fires prohibited at all times.
Dogs are prohibited at all times.
