Kuro Campsite (at The Flying Fox)

Description
Koru camp is located adjacent to the cottages and has a kitchen shelter with gas hob and running water, covered seating, a small gas BBQ, tables and chairs, toilet, hot shower, wood fired bush bath and a fire pit.
Nestled in a sunny, sheltered spot with a backdrop of native bush this is an ideal stop for campers who are canoeing the river as well as those who chose to access the property via the aerial cable car. Plenty of space and native plantings mean tents need not be squashed together whilst a communal fire pit and benches provide a great social area for the evenings. You can relax in a wood fired bath or experience a hot gas shower surrounded by the bush.
A range of outdoor games, tree swings and a slide are provided for the children or when the relaxation becomes too much. Access to our small on-site shop provides the ability for campers to restock and re-hydrate. Many come for one night and end up staying several!
Te Araroa Trail walkers and canoeists are very welcome and we have easy access from the river.
