Description

This is a basic three-bunk hut located in Kaimai Mamaku Conservation Park in the Tauranga area. It is free to stay. Bookings not required - first come, first served. Facilities include mattresses, non-flush toilets and water(not treated - boil before use). This hut is managed by the Thames Valley Deerstalkers Association. The Kauritataihi Hut is in the central part of the Kaimai Mamaku Conservation Park, about 1.5 hours south from the junction of Thompsons Track and the North South Track. A marked and signposted track leaves the North South track and leads to the hut.
