Jones Landing Freedom Camping

Description
Freedom camping is permitted at Jones Landing. Facilities include toilets and picnic tables. Activities include swimming and fishing .
Self Contained Vehicles may stay a maximum of 2 nights - no permit required. More than 2 nights, please apply for a permit.
Casual campers (tents and non-CSC vehicles) require a permit at all times.
Camping Permits are free of charge and can be obtained from the Council offices in Putruru and Tokoroa. Or the i-SITEs in Tokoroa and Trau or Pride in Putruru office in Putruru, or by applying online.
A minimum distance of three metres is required between each tent/campervan in case of fire.
No open fires are permitted. Gas cookers or gas BBQs only are allowed.
All dogs must be restrained at all times to ensure the safety of other campers and the owners are responsible for the removal of their dogs' waste.
