Description
This is a basic three-bunk hut located in Kaimai Mamaku Conservation Park in the Tauranga area. It is free to stay. Bookings not required - first come, first served.
Facilities include mattresses, non-flush toilets and water from a stream.
The Hurunui Hut is in the south of the Kaimai Mamaku Conservation Park about 2.5 hours from Kaimai Summit, along the North South Track. A marked and signposted side track leads a short distance to the hut.
