Description

A basic camping area at the northern arm of Lake Tarawera. A great place for a swim, with beautiful water and superb views of Mount Tarawera. This campground is accessible by foot or boat only. Bookings not required - first come, first served. There are no fees. Toilets are available at this site. Water supply is not reliable due to intermittent toxic algal blooms in Lake Tarawera (more prevalent over the summer period) - take your own water supply as the lake water may not be drinkable. No dogs.
