Description

Very popular campsite located on the edge of the Waikato River on Huka Falls Road. It has basic toilet facilities and a large number of campsites. There is no power and water can be taken from the river but should be boiled before drinking. A dish washing facility is available so campers do not wash dishes in the river. All campers, including those in certified self-contained vehicles, can stay for a maximum of three nights and/or four days in any 14 night period. Different spot for winter and summer only 50m apart. Take all rubbish with you and leave no trace. Keep New Zealand clean. Always use the toilet in your vehicle or a public toilet.
