Description

This is a six-bunk, standard hut located in Northland's Waima Forest. Bookings not required - first come, first served. There are no fees. Facilities include non-flush toilets and water (not treated - boil before use). Rubbish should be 'pack it in pack it out'. Framptons Hut is situated near the Six Foot Track in the western end of Waima Forest. Alternatively, you can reach the hut starting from the Hauturu Highpoint Track. Follow this to the Waima Main Range Track before heading towards the Six Foot Track and hut. The site is in a flat clearing on a broad ridge above Falls creek.
