Durham Lake is located at the base of Mt. Taranaki. The mountain view from the park is just stunning. There are two main vehicle access ways up to the mountain. The first is called North Egmont Visitors Center and is just 23 minutes drive away. The other is on the Stratford side via Pembroke Road and is 29 minutes drive. Both entrances have Information Centers. The staff there can inform you of walks and weather conditions etc. Motorhome and tent sites are available. Come and have a brew at our new bar. A cosy space warmed by our woodfire the perfect atmosphere for unwinding and hanging out with friends. We have a fireplace to keep you warm and toasty. Laundry facilities including coin operated washing machines and dryers as well as line hanging space are available for use. We have a small convenience store onsite to cover your basic needs. Showers and toilets are also available.
