Daly's Clearing Hut

Description
This is a standard 16-bunk hut in the Kaimai Mamaku Conservation Park in the Bay of Plenty region. This two-room 16 bunk hut has separate dining / living space. The small clearing outside the hut is suitable for camping.
Fees apply. Bookings not required - first come, first served.
Facilities include mattresses, non-flush toilet and water (not treated - boil before use). You will need to carry a portable stove for cooking.
The quickest way to the hut is from the end of Franklin Road; following the Waitawheta Tramway Track south and then turning west at the junction with the Dalys Clearing Loop Track.
It is situated en route to Mount Te Aroha or as a short side trip en route to the head of the Waitawheta Valley.
Before you go, buy 1 Standard Hut Ticket (blue for adults, yellow for youth) for each night's stay. Put this in the honesty box at the hut. Or buy a Backcountry Hut Pass that gives unlimited use at most Standard and Serviced huts for a 6 or 12-month period.
