Description

Comet Hut is located in the southern end of Kaweka Forest Park, at the Comet Road end off the Napier-Taihape Highway. No fees apply. Bookings not required - first come, first served. Facilities include mattresses, rain water supply, bench top, and long drop style toilet. There is no fireplace available at this hut. Please respect the rights of others to use the facilities and ensure all rubbish and foodstuffs are removed on departure. The hut is situated at the end of the Comet Road, off the Napier-Taihape State Highway. Good coverage with HF / Mountain Safety radios is available at the hut. Mobile coverage can be obtained at the hut.
