Description

The Awakino Hotel was established in 1904 and is the perfect pitstop on any journey along SH3. The hotel offers 9 rooms, two with en-suite facilities at affordable prices. We also offer free overnight camping (at the back of the pub on the grassy area) to patrons (vehicles only). Please register at the bar if you wish to stay. We offer free wifi in the bar, toilets and access to showers for a fee of $5. We serve food and drinks daily from 11am-late. We have regular events including quiz nights, pool compitions, happy hour and live music. The hotel is set next to the picturesque Awakino river where birdlife, fishing, kayaking and whitebaiting are in abundance. The long black sand beaches are less than 2 mins away where you can relax, surf, or swim to the backdrop of Mt Taranaki. A visit to the Three Sisters, Waikawau (tunnel beach) or Mt Damper falls are all within driving distance of the hotel.
